i came up with this a loooooong time ago, so maybe you've seen something similar before, but i did it first, and in my opinion better

Dragon Knight/Dragoon/Dragomancer

armor would be between that of ranger and warrior. high armor but not the highest. it would be sweet looking thin plate or scale armor, the character would have a ranger type body build, tall and lithe, but would have metal and plate armor or scale like a warrior.

they would probably base at 25 energy

Primary Attribute: Wyvern Summoning - at rank 0 of wyvern summoning you gain a pet wyvern (it may be via a summoning skill or passive (always there though you can order him away). wyvern's hp and attack dmg and size increase as you add points to this attribute. some skills will improve as you add points to this attribute.

pretty much this attribute brings into play your wyvern. since its the primary attribute only Dragoons can have a wyvern, not other classes subbing it.

skill examples:

energy 5 recharge 30 seconds casting time 1/2 second
Divebomb: your wyvern flights up into the sky (dissapears) for 15-5 seconds, after which time he does a divebomb attack on your enemy, causing +10-45 dmg.

energy 10 recharge 45 seconds casting time 0
Wyvern Spirit: wyvern will gaurd you, taking dmg for you for you for 3-15 seconds. while wyvern blocks for you in this manner it takes only 80%-40% of the damage you would have taken

Energy 15 recharge 60 seconds casting time 1 second
Mirror Image: When this skill is activated, you sacrafice 10% health. Your Wyvern then creates a copy of itself that does 20%-50% the dmg of the wyvern and has 100-350 health. This apparation lasts for 60 seconds. This is an elite skill



other attributes:

Lance Mastery: (the dragoon uses the lance, ex spears, lances, javalins, harpoons. this attribute would increase damage and chance of critical hits with the lance)

Dragon Breath: (this would be a varied skill set of elemental attacks, both for you and your wyvern (only a couple for the wyvern like necro blood magic has minion skills) )

Dragon Force: varied other skills, mostly centering around defense, such as resistant skin.)

That's my class. if you have any suggestions or ideas to add, or just any comments, please post...


edit: a bit of expansion on the wyverns, they would function like a pet, but with commands, and you could summon them or unsummon/send away. kind of a minion/pet in between. they would grow in size with your wyvern mastery, and you could concievably give them levels but i dunno. they have many skills, mostly in wyvern mastery/control. but there is alot of room for expansion on ideas to use with the wyverns, so give um up!
